Beyond Agriculture - Opportunities to Diversify October 2007
The inaugural PestBusiness.com seminar was held in Glasgow, Scotland in October 2007.
 
The half-day business seminar adressesd a number of key questions. What is the nature of the non-crop market? Who are the key playersdriving the market? What technical and regulatory challenges are there? Where do the new opportunities lie?
 
Delegates came from as far away as South America to hear  the views of four expert sepakers. Rod Parker from AIS outlined the size and scope of the global non-crop market ,whilst Rob Fryatt of Xenex looked at the key players highlighting the different channels to market prevalent in the non-crop arena.

Technial and regulatory differences were adressed by Dr Mark Lynch of EuroChemLink. Globalisation in the pest managment industry was outlined by Ted Brown of Copthall Associates with Martin Brown managing director of Exosect sharing his experiences of the highs and lows of making the transition from an agricuture company to one operating beyond agriculture.
